A sub-base material is a layer of aggregate used beneath a main load-bearing surface in construction projects like roads, pavements, patios, and driveways. It provides a stable, level foundation and helps distribute the load from the overlying surface. Common sub-base materials include Type 1, Scalps, Crushed stone, Gravel, and Recycled aggregates.
