Gabion Stone Projects, C A Stevens have supplied Gabion Stone for a number of projects locally. Today we have taken another order for Gabion Stone with a starting weight of 8 Tons with a view to adding more.
The Gabion Cages, Containers or even if the Gabion Stone is left loose to fill an area in or around a river bank looks superb in any Gabion Stone Project .
We have been speaking to the project manager on job Richard Gandy of Birchwood Landscapes Limited. Richard called us today (17.11.22) enquiring about the availability of the Gabion Stone we supply. We hold the larger Gabion in stock at the yard so we were able to supply the 150mm – 225mm Gabion Stone.
We keep large quantities of quarry quality aggregates in stock all the time. You are welcome to either place a telephone order or just drop in and collect the stone if you have a Gabion Stone Project.
Alternatively come and have a look at what we have to make sure you get the correct colour and size of aggregate.

A gabion (from Italian gabbione meaning “big cage”; from Italian gabbia and Latin cavea meaning “cage”) is a cage, cylinder or box filled with rocks, concrete, or sometimes sand and soil for use in civil engineering, road building, military applications and landscaping.
For erosion control, caged riprap is used. For dams or in foundation construction, cylindrical metal structures are used. In a military context, earth- or sand-filled gabions are used to protect sappers, infantry, and artillerymen from enemy fire.
Leonardo da Vinci designed a type of gabion called a Corbeille Leonard (“Leonard[o] basket”) for the foundations of the San Marco Castle in Milan.
